Site investigation, end-to-end

From desktop study to foundation design — all in the browser. No file handoffs between tools, no translation between teams. One environment for your geotechnical, geophysical, and engineering disciplines.

Open platform

Three points of view. One platform.

For developers

Build a defensible ground model

Bring your CPTs, seismic data, and desktop sources into one environment. Iterate ground models that hold up under regulatory review and inform foundation decisions.

For authorities

Host your tender data room — not a static file package

Replace a static data package with an interactive ground intelligence environment. Registered bidders access the live ground model, download data in standardised formats, and work from the same authoritative dataset.

For consultants

Deliver work, not infrastructure

Stop wrangling files and toolchains. Run your QI workflow, integrate with client datasets, and ship findings — all in the browser.

Nicolaus Steno

Nicolaus Steno (1638–1686) was a Danish anatomist and bishop who, while dissecting a shark's head in Florence, came to recognise that fossils were once living things. From this came his principles of stratigraphy — the law of superposition, the principle of original horizontality, the principle of lateral continuity — the foundation on which every ground model still rests.

Beautiful is what we see. More beautiful is what we know. Most beautiful, by far, is what we do not yet understand.— Nicolaus Steno

The platform borrows his name and his method: every interpretation should be traceable, every layer should be defensible, and every ground model should be an honest expression of what is and is not yet known. That principle runs through every module.

A sample of how teams use it — the platform adapts to your project's workflow.

Strategic

One environment for all disciplines

Geotechnical, geophysical, and structural engineers working from the same data and shared models — no file handoffs between tools.

Technical

CPT interpretation

Robertson classification, su, Dr, G0 derivation, EC7 characteristic values — on every CPT in your project.

Technical

3D ground modelling

Geostatistical kriging, seismic-unit framework, block model and property volumes from CPT and seismic data.

Technical

Foundation design

Axial capacity, driveability, and PISA lateral scaffold — calculated across all WTG locations from the shared ground model.

Technical

Visualise and slice the ground model

Interactive 3D viewer, cross-sections anywhere, seismic-unit maps — explore the model directly in the browser. No desktop software.

Technical

Wind, metocean and WTG layout

Wind resource, wave and current loading, WTG positioning — connected to the ground model and CAPEX heatmap in one view.

Strategic

Procure the right investigation

Generate technically specified ITT/RFPs from your ground model. Identify data gaps before commissioning fieldwork.

Strategic

Tender data room for authorities

Replace a static data package with a live ground intelligence environment. Bidders access the model directly.

Communication

Results that speak across the organisation — and beyond it

A shared browser environment means ground model findings are as legible to a project director or lender as they are to the geotechnical engineer who built them. No PowerPoint exports of static screenshots.

Within your team

Geotechnical, geophysical, and structural disciplines working from one live model — not emailed exports or fragmented tool chains.

Across the organisation

Project directors and investment committees see the same ground model as the technical team — in the browser, with no translation layer.

Outside the company

Share with lenders, authorities, JV partners, and regulators. Watermarked access, full audit trail, no data room setup required.

Explore the Nederwiek site

Nederwiek is an offshore wind area in the Dutch North Sea. The public demo presents the integrated ground model — 226 CPTs and 2D UHR seismic across 145 km² — exactly as it lives inside Steno. Built from the RVO Nederwiek public dataset.
