who we are

about

A specialist consultancy for offshore wind ground investigation, modelling, and foundation design.

Our work

results that you can understand, trust and use

SolidGround is an independent consultancy delivering integrated geotechnical, geophysical, and geological services for offshore wind. We translate seismic, CPT, and desktop datasets into ground models, foundation parameters, and decisions that hold up under regulatory review.

Our services span the full offshore-wind ground-investigation chain — desktop study and screening, quantitative seismic interpretation (pre-stack inversion of UHRS data), site-wide CPT prediction from elastic-property volumes, integrated ground modelling, and foundation-parameter assessment with uncertainty quantification.

We work with developers, authorities, and consultants globally. Our work combines quantitative seismic interpretation with rigorous geotechnical analysis — and the conviction that ground models should be honest about what they do and do not know.

How we work

physics-based, transparent by design

We build our own tools. We publish our methods. Every result is traceable to a physical model — not to a black box.

  • 01

    In-house algorithms

Pre-stack seismic inversion, soil-physics framework, CPT prediction, uncertainty quantification, and our geotechnical workflows — all written, tested, and calibrated in-house against real-world ground truth. No third-party black-box engine, no dial-tuning.

  • 02

    Based on physics

Every result is traceable to a physical model — a measured soil sample, the wave equations, a calibrated soil-physics correlation. Every prediction comes with an uncertainty envelope.

  • 03

    Research at the frontier

A strong publication record across SEG, EAGE, ISFOG and OSIG, and active engagement in research consortia — WINDFARM (EUDP), the TIDE Research Hub (UWA), DNV GIFT. The methods we ship in production are the same ones we contribute in research.
